Spyder Forensics - Windows Artifacts Foundations

The Windows Artifacts Foundations training is a 3-day course that introduces students to correctly storing forensically related documents on the Windows system, based on user interaction and functionality of the host operating system. You will learn to identify where and why the Windows operating system stores information in Registry files, Recycle bin, Recent folder, User directory and system folders. In addition, students will learn how to handle Internet Explorer history, cookies, temp files and user settings and learn to compare these with the Edge browser using Windows 10®.

Target audience‍

This course is aimed at forensic investigators who have mastered the basics of the Windows 10® operating system and want to delve deeper into it. To participate in this training course, it is recommended to have successfully completed the 000 - Windows 10 Workshop or have 6 months of working experience in forensic investigation.

Study load

The training course lasts 3 days (8 hours per day). Self-study in addition to the training days is not required.

The manual and other study materials are provided with this training.

Qualifications

At the end of this training, the student will receive a Certificate of Participation.
